Arlington National Cemetery

Serving as a resting place for than 400,000 United States service members, Arlington National Cemetery is a famous landmark home to the John F. Kennedy Gravesite, Memorial Amphitheater and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The cemetery is open 365 days a year, including Memorial Day and Veterans Day. While visitors can explore the cemetery independently, there is also a guided tram tour with stops at the cemetery’s most significant destinations.

A soldier in dress uniform with a rifle on his shoulder walks in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A floral wreath in red, white, and blue stands nearby. Trees and hills are visible in the background under a clear sky.
