Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve

Just south of Leesburg, Virginia, Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve is home to 695 acres of protected habitats and 20 miles of family-friendly hiking trails. A treasure in the heart of Loudoun County, this preserve is the home of forests, wetlands, fields and wildlife, including the American eagle, American beaver and white-tailed deer.

A narrow gravel path curves through a grassy field with dry, wispy plants. Small trees line the path, under a cloudy blue sky. Dense, green foliage is visible in the distant background, contrasting with the golden grass.
