Chimney Rock National Monument

Chimney Rock National Monument is an Ancestral Puebloan archeological site that covers seven square miles and preserves nearly 200 ancient homes and ceremonial buildings. Daily tours and special night sky programs are offered throughout the season (May 1-Sept. 30).

A circular ancient stone structure with a sunken interior, set on a hilltop. Surrounding it are expansive views of rolling hills and distant mountains under a cloudy sky. Sparse vegetation is visible around the structure.
