Fort De Soto Park

Fort De Soto Park covers five islands and 1,136 acres on the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and also serves as the launching point for exploring Egmont Key. Enjoy the sun and surf at North Beach (also a popular spot for kiteboarding), kayak the paddling trail and explore the park’s historic fort.

Fort De Soto also has a dog-friendly beach area – one of the only places in St. Pete/Clearwater where you can let your dog play off-leash on the beach. The camping here is another highlight with amenities including full power and water hookups. Explore for a day or plan an extended camping stay.
