While the gambling is 21+, there’s plenty to do for the rest of the family. Visit Rolling Thunder Lanes, a 24-lane bowling alley for league play or fun events like glow-in-the-dark bowling. Right next door, the Sky Ute Arcade offers claw games with toys and sports memorabilia, racing games, Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, and much more. You can even plan a kid-friendly birthday celebration in the onsite party room.
Outside, play a round of mini golf on the landscaped 18-hole course with views of the La Plata Mountains. Then, head to the indoor pool to play water games, float on the lazy river, relax in the jacuzzi, or soak up the sun on the sundeck.
Accommodations
At Sky Ute Casino Resort, 140 guest rooms offer both comfort and a unique cultural experience. Rooms feature traditional Ute textile patterns and art, and a calming color palette reflects the rugged high desert landscape and surrounding San Juan Mountains outside.
For more space, eight luxury suites include handsome sitting rooms and luxurious bathrooms. Each suite is named after an influential member of the Southern Ute Tribe, like Leonard Burch—a long-time Tribe leader who ushered in an era of prosperity for the Ute people.
Taking an RV trip? Sky Ute offers 24 RV sites (three with ADA access), each with water and waste hookups, plus access to the pool, fitness center, and showers. Set up your rig and treat yourself to all the amenities.
Dining
End your day—or start your night—with bold and bright flavors at one of three premium restaurants. Treat yourself to an indulgent dinner at Seven Rivers Steaks, Seafood, Spirits, an authentic casino steakhouse with prime cuts and seafood delicacies. Add lobster tail or Alaskan king crab legs to your New York strip or “Chairman’s Cut” T-Bone for the best surf and turf.
For a laid-back bite, head to Rolling Thunder Grill just off the main casino floor. This Southwest-style pub is a welcoming break from the bustle with hearty burgers, spicy buffalo wings, and shareables like Fiesta Nachos topped with all the fixings.
Head to Willows Café Bistro for a hearty breakfast or lunch to start your day strong. Sip a hot latte and fill up on local favorites—the Spam & Eggs and Southwestern Benedict, topped with pork carnitas, pinto beans, and house-made green chili, are particularly popular.

Or take the Cascade Canyon Express for an excursion deep into the mountains with views overlooking stunning valleys, glacial streams, and waterfalls.
Explore the cliff homes of the ancient Pueblo people carved right into the rock face at Mesa Verde National Park. You can hike through pinyon-juniper forests to reach stunning overlooks or take a guided Cliff Dwelling Tour to descend stone staircases, climb massive ladders, and crawl through tunnels to reach these ancestral homes.
Climb a half-mile to the top of Chimney Rock National Monument for dramatic 360-degree views across Colorado and New Mexico. You’ll find the remnants of a multi-family dwelling left by the ancient Pueblans and the two iconic sandstone spires that give the site its name.
At Aztec Ruins National Monument, follow the trails to discover the advanced architecture of a 12th-century Pueblo “Great House,” where sturdy stone walls and some original wood roofing survive. Learn about ancient building methods and enter the restored Great Kiva, a round subterranean room used for spiritual ceremonies.
