Episode
103
Owensboro, the birthplace of bluegrass music, sits on a scenic bend of the Ohio River in Western Kentucky. At the new Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, professional fiddler Randy Lanham teaches classes in pickin’ and pluckin’ every Saturday. His popular classes can pack in as many as 300 students. After class, curator Chris Joslin leads us through a tour of the museum, where we see snapshots of bluegrass history, musicians and beautiful vintage instruments like Pete Seeger’s banjo.
