If you’re captivated by Sasquatch lore, culture, and ongoing investigations, you can’t miss these Bigfoot museums across the United States. From mysterious footprints to local legends, explore all things Bigfoot at these intriguing attractions.

North American Bigfoot Center

With multiple footprint casts, hand molds, and video evidence, this center turns Bigfoot skeptics into tried-and-true believers. Located in Boring, Oregon, this cryptid hot spot is owned by one of the members of the hit show Finding Bigfoot. Meet “Murphy,” the life-sized Sasquatch replica, at the center of the exhibit hall. Check out short documentaries in the Boggy Creek Theater. And explore the exhibits highlighting famous Bigfoot encounters throughout history.

Expedition: Bigfoot! The Sasquatch Museum

Nestled in a forested area of North Georgia, this 3,700-square-foot museum is a must-see for Bigfoot enthusiasts. Explore exhibits featuring Bigfoot vocalization recordings, the nation’s largest display of footprint casts, and the world’s only Bigfoot Research and Tech Vehicle. In the Sasquatch Theater, watch documentary clips featuring real-life Bigfoot testimonies and eerie footage that might make you question what you thought you knew about this elusive creature.

West Virginia Bigfoot Museum

Learn more about West Virginia’s Bigfoot lore and sightings at this small (and free) roadside museum. Grab a cup of coffee and browse Appalachian crafts, antiques, and Bigfoot souvenirs at the attached country store, then check out historic newspaper clippings, artwork, photographs, and Bigfoot replicas. If you’re here in the summer, snag tickets to the WV Bigfoot Festival hosted by this museum at the end of June.

Bigfoot Discovery Museum

This hidden gem, located in a small red house in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is packed to the brim with Bigfoot artifacts, like castings, bones (Bigfoot, is that you?), historical documents, and video clips (including the famous Patterson/Gimlin footage). Chat with Mike, the museum owner, to hear about the latest local Bigfoot sightings and his own theories. You’ll find his personal research library on the massive bookshelf behind the front counter with titles like Bigfoot Observer’s Field Manual and The Mothman Prophecies.

Willow Creek-China Flat Museum

If you’re in Willow Creek, California, you cannot miss this Sasquatch museum – after all, this town is the birthplace of the modern Bigfoot legend (it’s the Bigfoot capital of the world)! Not only will you see an extensive Bigfoot collection from the region, with a newly found footprint cast from 2024, but you can also explore mining, agriculture, logging, and forging artifacts. Pick up a Bigfoot sweatshirt or book for the ride home at the attached gift shop.

Nebraska Bigfoot Crossroads of America Museum and Research Center

Bigfoot in Nebraska? You betcha! This private residence-turned-Bigfoot museum is one of the best places in Nebraska to learn about Sasquatch sightings around the United States. As you explore this small museum, you’ll see life-size Bigfoot statues, skulls, and historic newspaper articles on display. During your tour, Harriet, the owner, aka “The Bigfoot Lady,” will share her own experiences and theories. Outside, stroll through the beautifully landscaped Fantasy Forest Gardens, showcasing even more artifacts and replicas.

The Sasquatch Outpost

The legend becomes a reality at The Sasquatch Encounter Discovery Museum located inside The Sasquatch Outpost in Bailey, Colorado. Wander through exhibits highlighting stories and encounters with this elusive creature, learn tips and tricks on tracking down Sasquatch and see images of a Bigfoot baby’s footprints. Stop by the massive gift shop and pick up some cute Sasquatch pajamas, socks, mugs, and postcards before you head out!

Skunk Ape Research Headquarters

The Florida Everglades may not be the first place that comes to mind in terms of Bigfoot sightings, but locals believe it’s home to the Skunk Ape, aka the “Swamp Sasquatch.” Founded by renowned cryptozoologist Dave Shealy, this research center in Ochopee showcases Skunk Ape artifacts like footprint casts and audio recordings. You can’t miss the small on-site zoo—it’s home to one of the largest snakes in captivity – a reticulated python.
